This is the Place Pioneer Park

Since this week we celebrate Pioneer Day I thought it would be fun for the kids to see how they lived. We visited This is the Place Pioneer Park with Grandma Weir and the Deckers. The kids had a lot of fun riding the Pony's, a covered wagon and even some trains. They learned about daily living (they practiced doing laundry and beating rugs). We visited a school house, barber, milliner, shoe cobbler, furniture maker, Hospital/Doctors office, and many more sights. We had a picnic lunch and then spent nearly 5 1/2 hours exploring. We also ran into Aunt Ann with Wendy and Stephanie and their kids. Although it was very hot (a quick rain shower helped cool us off) we had a lot of fun.
Madison at the Barbers. Just a trim please!!!
Time for school! They removed the center ball so the kids wouldn't make us crazy with all the bell ringing.

Christians favorite part was the farm animals and pony ride. He was so happy laughing and squealing the whole time. He even kissed a little goat, not mother approved.

The kids had fun making an arrowhead necklace. Camden, Madison, Kenzi, Ashley and Gracyn in front.
