We had a relaxing Pioneer Day Celebration. It started out with the annual ward breakfast. The adults go for the food and friendships, the kids go for the handcart rides! Our girls couldn't wait to ride. Christian wanted to do what his sisters were doing. It only took one trip around the parking lot to hook him. After a lot of crying while waiting his turn and four rides later we headed home. Christian went down for a nap and I thought Courtney would too. Instead she cried for 2 hours! If you know Courtney you know something wasn't right. The kids were begging to go to grandmas so we took Courtney for a ride and then headed to Weirs. After a long nap Courtney was much happier and the kids were
glad to be playing with grandparents. The
kiddy pool was up and the hoses were on! Christian had fun soaking grandpa and mom. It was a fun evening filled with good food (the burgers rocked dad!) and lots of water fights.
Thanks to Brother Nielsen for making a handcart and sharing it with us all!
A moment of peace. Madison, Dylan, Justin, Ashley, Alycia and Christian
Mitch and Jason celebrate the only way they know how! They could never have survived with a stick pull as the means for fun.

Mom if I tilt my head and give a big grin it's OK, right!!!

I love the picture of 5 or 6 kids in that tiny pool! That's what summer's all about. Christian is so perfect with hose with that huge nozzle on it too. (Brenda)
